Developing a global
business with no capital

Creating a "Virtual Business"
Do what's right - rather than what your told!
The Challenge
This global customer needed a 2 hour response to
their assembly line. The existing plant would not be able
to meet this demand, a near-site Fulfilment Centre was required
to meet the challenge.

Corporate say no!
The corporate appropriation committee turned down the proposal
to open a new Fulfilment Centre a short distance from the
customer's main assembly line.
An alternative
strategy is executed!
"AG - I would like to borrow your warehouse and employees
for six months" "Oh, is that all, I thought you
were after something for nothing!" The next day the
deal was struck - a borrowed facility and AG's people.

Creating a "Virtual
Business"
Within a week the empty warehouse was cleaned, laid out
and newly painted. Security was in place to welcome our
global customer to their near-site fulfilment service centre.
Within two weeks live orders were being delivered direct
to the customers assembly line. We had created a Virtual
Business which was was trading and operating successfully
within two weeks. From a borrowed warehouse, with a friend's
employees. The customer was delighted, and the enterprise
was rewarded with increased volume and a long-term contract.

Do what's right
- rather than what your told!
Within 2 months invoiced sales were running at $300,000
per month. A year after having the original business plan
turned down, a brand new 50,000sq ft Fulfilment Service
Centre, was officially opened by the customer. A year later,
the business capacity expanded into a second larger facility,
this enterprise business model was exported to the USA,
and the business grew to a £100million turnover. The
business continues to expand and prosper to this day and
is part of a large, successful Global Fulfilment Business.
Sometimes you need to do what's right - rather than what
your told!
